DuPage County Stormwater Management Streamlining Stormwater Permit Application Procedures

As of September 1, DuPage County Stormwater Management is changing the permit application process for all new stormwater-related projects in order to reduce the length of the review cycle.

Stormwater Management is adding a pre-submittal meeting to the stormwater permitting process in order for County staff to review applications for completeness. This meeting is scheduled by appointment to reduce wait time and is designed to ensure complete submittals the first time around.

Property owners or their designee may download Stormwater Management’s updated submittal packet from DuPage County’s website to bring to the meetings. Staff will then advise them on whether or not the application is ready to be submitted, which will cut back on unnecessary reviews.

Note that not all incorporated areas are required to submit stormwater permits to DuPage County, so please contact the respective municipality if you are unsure.
