DuPage Hosts Human Services Grants Informational Meetings in January

DuPage County will host two informational meetings in January for local non-profit organizations interested in applying for a grant through the Human Services Grant Fund (HSGF).

The meetings will be held at 10:00 a.m. January 6, 2016 in Room 1-500B and at 2 p.m. January 7, 2016 in Room 1-500B of the DuPage County JTK Administration Building, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton.

DuPage County created the Human Services Grant Fund to assist organizations that serve county residents in need.  This year, the fund will distribute $1 million to grant recipients.

The grants are available to organizations that help families achieve independence, ensure the protection of children and other vulnerable residents and maximize prevention opportunities to strengthen families’ well-being and stability. In the 2015 grant year, over 92,000 people will have received assistance. The awards ranged from $3,570 to $45,000 with an average grant award of $18,200.

Information regarding eligibility guidelines, selection criteria along with the grant application can be found at  in the Human Services Grant Fund section.
