Responsibilities

The Community Services Block Grant Advisory Board provides assistance and advice to the DuPage County Board which enables the County to provide education and services to low-income individuals. The ultimate aim of this Board is to help low-income individuals become self-sufficient.

Qualifications

One-third of members are required to be elected public officials holding office in DuPage County (members of the County Board Health & Human Services Committee). One-third of members are elected democratically to represent the low-income population of DuPage County. Remaining members are representatives of groups and organizations with an interest in serving the low-income population in DuPage County.  The Advisory Board seeks a diverse membership and veterans and minorities are also encouraged to apply.
