2022 Construction Program

This year’s Program incorporates the County's priority to maintain our existing infrastructure while at the same time implementing projects to improve safety and relieve congestion.  In 2022, approximately 53 lane miles of County highways are proposed to be patched and resurfaced to improve rideability and to extend the service life of the existing pavements.  The roadways include: 

  • Army Trail Road - 84th Court to Schmale Road             
  • Powis Road - Hawthorne Lane to Illinois Route 64                    
  • Geneva Road - County Farm Road to Western Avenue            
  • Hobson Road – Washington Street to the East Branch DuPage River              
  • 55th Street - Holmes Avenue to County Line Road                    
  • Yackley Avenue - Warrenville Road to north of Maple Avenue              

Other major projects include:

  • 75th Street from Millbrook Drive to Greene Road (intersection improvements and resurfacing)
  • 87th Street at Woodward Avenue (intersection improvements and resurfacing)
  • Central Signal System Expansion #3 and #4 (signal interconnection)
  • Lemont Road from 83rd Street to 87th Street (intersection improvements and resurfacing)
  • Warrenville Road over the East Branch DuPage River (bridge replacement)

The 2022 Proposed Construction Program totals $53.5M (all fund sources).
