DuPage County Animal Services (DCAS) often partners with State licensed animal shelters or breed rescue groups to transfer hundreds of animals a year out of the shelter. By working cooperatively with rescue groups and private humane agencies, we free kennel space for more incoming animals, reduce stress, and help facilitate a permanent placement for the animal.
If you would like to become an approved rescue partner:
- Complete the Rescue Questionnaire
- Read the Rescue Partner Transfer Program Policy
- Upload the requested documents.
- Upon approval, one of our Rescue Coordinators will contact your organization.
Please visit our DuPage County Animal Services Rescue Team Facebook page to view animals currently available for transfer.
