The Responsibilities of this position include:
- Recruit, Train and supervise paid recovery coaches and volunteer veteran peer mentors
- Implement and grow the Recovery Community Center program
- Assess recovery coach and peer mentor strengths to effectively match with program participants
- Responsible for the oversight of all groups, services and supervision of recovery coaches and mentors
- To network and establish relationships with community-based agencies
- Ability to provide effective feedback to coaches and mentors
- Work with the data collection contractor to measure effectiveness
Requirements of this position include:
- Completion of a bachelor’s degree in the Behavioral Sciences or an equivalent combination of training and experience
- Ability to take initiative and use good judgment
- Demonstrated communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to function independently without direction
- An understanding of the population the Probation Department works with.
- Flexibility in scheduling including evenings hours
- Pass a background investigation.
- Maintain necessary insurance coverage: Employers' liability Insurance or at least $1,000,000 Worker's Compensation Insurance in the statutory amounts
