DuPage County, along with the Villages of Wayne and Bartlett, will install two new stop signs at the intersection of Army Trail Road and Munger Road, converting the intersection from a two-way stop to a four-way stop.
Installation is expected to be completed on Sept. 18, weather permitting. There will be temporary traffic control at the intersection while the signs and the pavement markings are installed.
The County evaluated long-term improvements at the intersection to enhance mobility for motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists. A recent engineering study indicated that traffic volume at the intersection warranted the new stop signs, which will improve access and safety for all road users at the intersection.
