County Clerk: Jean Kaczmarek
The Office of the County Clerk acts as the Clerk of the DuPage County Board, Secretary of the Emergency
Telephone System Board, and the Secretary of the Liquor Control Commission.
As such, the Office must attend meetings, keep a record of the
proceedings and attest to all ordinances and resolutions.
The Office of the County Clerk administers all DuPage County Elections and files the statements of economic
interests for DuPage County.

The Office of the County Clerk issues many different licenses and registrations, including:
- Marriage and civil union licenses
- Assumed business name registration
- Liquor licenses (for unincorporated
DuPage County)
- Raffle licenses (for unincorporated
DuPage County)
- Tobacco licenses (for unincorporated
DuPage County)
- Amusement device registration (for
unincorporated DuPage County)
The Office of the County Clerk provides official,
certified copies of DuPage County vital records, such as:
- Birth certificates
- Death records
- Marriage and civil union licenses
The Office of the County Clerk also
plays a vital role in the taxation process and warrants the County Treasurer
to pay all county bills, as well as:
- Compiles the up-to-date list of all DuPage
County parcels of property for tax assessment
- Calculates the amount of tax for
each parcel
- Certifies those amounts to the
Treasurer’s Office for collection
