April 13, 2022 - The DuPage County Division of Transportation has updated our permit processing system. You can now submit applications, pay fees and check permit status online for the following permit types
- Highway Permits (Access, Right-of-Way or Utility)
- Special Road and/or Trail Events
- Wireless Telecommunication Facility Permits
OW/OD permits are handled through a separate application system at Oxcart Permits.

NOTICE: Winter moratorium on lane closures and/or pavement open-cutting is in effect from November 15 through April 15 annually. The only exceptions, with proper advance notice to and approval by the DPC DOT, are for emergency utility repair work (i.e. gas leaks, water main breaks, etc.). This policy is in effect to allow DPC DOT Highway Maintenance Department staff/equipment the ability to properly prepare/maintain the roadway pavement prior to and/or during snow fall events.
