Job Title: Court Security Officer – (Non-Sworn)

Hours: 0700-1500, 0730-1530, 0800-1600, or 0900-1700
(Depending on shift assignment)
Monday-Friday, 40 hours a week
Closing Date: Until Filled
DESCRIPTION OF PROVIDER’S WORK:
• Operates screening devices and monitors people entering the facility
• Assigned to a Courtroom as directed by Court Security Supervisors
• Conducts "pat downs" and identification
• Screens tools of contractors or other personnel
• Vouchers items specified by the Sheriff's Office
• Services on Pass Post and performs identification duties of this position
• Directs entering public for scanning
• Serves in positions of Blocker Post, Point Post, or Back Up Searcher
• Provides entry screening for Grand Jury juror selection and proceedings
• Aids in the detection of contraband and assists deputies as directed
• Assists in report preparation
• Maintains regular attendance and punctuality
• Assist in court and trial processes in rooms as assigned by Court Security Supervisors
• May be assigned to remote field court locations as needed to perform duties listed above
• Completion of any mandated and assigned training courses

Base pay of 20.54/Hour
