The DuPage County Division of Transportation will begin construction to improve the Great Western Trail crossing at County Farm Road on June 5. The County will construct a curbed barrier median to enhance bicyclist and pedestrian safety when crossing County Farm Road. Crews will also resurface County Farm Road and refresh the pavement markings.
The project, located in Winfield south of St. Charles Road, will require the trail crossing to be closed during the construction project. Signs will be placed along the trail to alert users of the closure.
Construction is expected to begin June 5 and is expected to take 10 days to complete, weather permitting.
